I’m the mother of a highly competitive D1 athlete turned Pro, who insisted her child try all sports before dedicating himself to the year-round commitment of basketball. I tried to raise a son of good character, while navigating NCAA recruitment. Then I sent my son out into the world of top-ranked college athletics and prayed for good mentors. I quickly became a basketball mom and fan! Watching him grow into a man and a professional has been exciting and challenging. Being a mother of an athlete is a journey worth writing about. Enjoy.
